The questions worth answering
What counts as a minute?
Wall-clock length of audio sent for cloud processing. A 47-minute meeting spends 47 minutes. Re-running the write-up on a meeting you have already processed does not spend them again.
Is the free tier a trial?
No. It has no expiry and no meeting cap, it syncs across your devices, and it comes with a small allowance of cloud minutes each month. What it does not include is the calendar and Todoist integrations. If you run Whisper and Ollama locally, local processing is unlimited and you never touch the allowance at all.
What happens to my audio?
Transcription always happens on your device, on both platforms and on every plan. Audio is never uploaded. In cloud mode it is the resulting text — your notes and the transcript — that goes to the model.
Do you hold an API key in the app?
No. Cloud requests go through a proxy that holds the key server-side, so it never ships inside a binary that anyone can pull apart.
Can I change or cancel?
Upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time, with prorated billing. Minutes you have already bought carry over rather than expiring at the period boundary.
Do I need to tell people I am recording?
Usually yes, and in some places always. Android shows a system-level recording indicator that cannot be suppressed. We have written up the practical guidance — see recording consent.
